Miss Kasia
I have been teaching art in Battersea for the past 15 years, primarily working with children aged 2 to 10 across London. My experience includes roles at 'Art Barn,' 'Little Red Hen Nursery School,' 'The Park Kindergarten,' and most recently, 'Thomas’s Day School' in Fulham. This journey has shaped me into a better teacher, helping me appreciate how essential fun, creativity, and imagination are for a child’s development.
Along with my degree in Science, I have completed focused training in Art Therapy and Play Therapy. Although I am not a licensed therapist, my background equips me to work as a practitioner, supporting children in navigating challenges through creative, therapeutic activities designed for young minds.
Art lessons I teach are connected to the school’s curriculum as well as topics that capture children’s interests. My aim is to make art engaging and purposeful - more than just painting or drawing. Art becomes a meaningful tool that reinforces what children are learning, building their enthusiasm as they gain new skills. I integrate elements of art and play therapy into our sessions, providing a space where children can experience acceptance, learn about their emotions, and build confidence and self-esteem. Helping children grow and develop through creative activities is deeply rewarding for me.
I enjoy listening to children’s ideas and questions, leading my classes in open conversation and offering guidance as they explore. I encourage the use of different artistic media to help them communicate their thoughts and investigate the world around them. By nurturing their imagination, I aim to boost their creativity in countless ways. I like to guide them through projects while giving them the freedom to find their own paths, helping them feel independent and valued.
Ever since I was young, I’ve loved science, sensory play, and art - especially experimenting with different textures and materials. I was fortunate to have people around me who encouraged me to pursue my dreams, recognise my artistic abilities, and talent for building strong relationships. Now, I want children and families to experience the wonderful feeling of self - expression through art.
